In the Clouds

The other evening some clouds were blowing. Here's a look at what we saw. A small storm was on its way through our area which is usually when you get most interesting clouds!

Please excuse the power lines. Half the neighborhood has them below ground, our half doesn't.

  2. Cloud formations, especially those of a storm, are beautiful. These are lovely. A short-lived thunderstorm system just moved across our area bringing an hour or two of much-needed showers. :)

  3. Beautiful clouds. Yesterday there were some great clouds to over here. Today there probably was but in my little apartment cluttered area I didn't see a great show.

  4. Don’t ya just hate how power lines mess up a great shot! I hate Barbed Wire when snapping an animal in the wild as well… I too think that storm clouds are beautiful. I am not too crazy about the storms though. LOL. Wish we could get some rain in GA. We had 1/10 inch in the gauge yesterday which is practically nothing for us. We need to get out of this drought! Too early in the year for a drought in the Deep South! Summer will be a killer if we dont start receiving rain soon. We are already under watering restrictions, being in phase 2 of a water shortage. Next stage will be no outside watering… Sniff, Sniff. Everything will die if that happens…

  7. Hi Dave, those are spectacular cloud shots. I love them. We have power lines where we live, too. Older neighborhoods are like that around here. We had the line coming into our house put underground with a pole at the edge of the property, but the garage has a line coming across the yard and attached to the structure. I have learned to ignore it after living with it for few years. Our last three houses before this one all had underground utilites. What a difference with the view. I will comment on the last few posts here also, if that is okay. Your use of the tree stumps is great. I like the benches best. And that chicken and squash looks perfect. And you already have beans? I guess the peas lasted so long here that the beans went in late. Yours look delicious. All good.

  9. What I find most amazing about the clouds is how they shift and change shape. There are infinite formations in every single cloud formation. It all depends on your viewing angle.

    Skeeter,

You're making me jealous of your rain. We just had a short, and I mean short rain shower. I need to check and see if it even registered on the rain gauge!

    Frances,

We have a bunch of beans. They a bush bean called 'Nash'. Very tasty! I'm glad you liked the stumps. I really like making the benches with them. Easy and effective!
