Please bear with me while I make a few cosmetic changes! I've been wanting to find a new look for the blog that is more functional and I think I have found a template that works. There will be some minor tweaks and repairs over the next few days. All the content and comments should be intact. Think of this as a garden remodel using the same plants. I hope you enjoy the changes!

Love the new look Dave. It's very neat & organized and the header photo is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Dave. It looks good. My only other thought is that it is difficult to see your banner header against the variegated foliage in the banner. Just wanted you to know. I would probably darken the header so that it would show up or move it around a bit. Just my two cents after doing this to my own blog in October.~~Dee
ReplyDeleteRacquel,
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Dee,
I'm definitely going to be tweaking the header a little. Trying to fin just the right color for the font is tricky. Thanks for the suggestion!
A big change indeed!
ReplyDeleteDave,
ReplyDeleteI love it...the color is perfect! I have been thinking about changes to mine, too! It has been harder then I think to leave the old skin!

Love the new look. Agree your heading on the banner is hard to see, but saw where you're getting it tweaked. Will look awesome, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteVery nice look - much cleaner! Would you mind sharing the template you are using? My husband and I are in the "thinking" stage of blogging. Have enjoyed your daily posts very much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! I edited the header with an easier to read colored font. The variegation in the caladiums does make that difficult.
ReplyDeleteEybsettles,
Thanks for following the blog! This particular template is an edited version of the Shiny template at http://www.ourblogtemplates.com/ They have some very nice templates there if you're interested in starting a blog of your own! I changed the column widths to allow for more post room and changed the colors around.
It looks awesome Dave. I had to go back and make sure it was you I was visiting. It looks professional and does make it easier to see everything.
