Send Me Your Shed!

OK, not really, I know the postage would be expensive! Still I want to see your shed or greenhouse photos. I’m looking for ideas and inspiration to build one of my own eventually and would love to have some sheds to share here on The Home Garden. If you would like to contribute a shed or greenhouse photo of your shed just send it to TheHomeGarden@gmail.com and I’ll put it together into a post to highlight all the unique sheds. Please include information about your shed including how you use it, how it was built, size, what you like about it, what you would do differently, and anything else you would like to say!

Shed pictures may not appear right away but will eventually make it to the blog and I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s about to appear. So go out in the garden right now and show me your shed!

  1. Dear Dave (here I go again with that salutation .. but truly ? I can't help it ? LOL)
The subject of sheds this year is especially interesting to me. We went through such upheaval with the new deck and shed .. it made us truly think about what would be our ideal shed for the amount of room, purpose and budget we had to spend .. style was also a special subject for me .. I love having the building but I want it to be pretty and blend in our small yard.
So YES ! I will be sending a picture and comments because it will still be in transition with ideas I have to make it look even more garden friendly and blend into the garden with a smooth flow .. great post !

  2. Dave, You wouldn't want my shed, I'm afraid, as the raccoons have designated its roof as one of their latrines. This is one of the problems about gardening in "Raccoon City" aka Toronto, Ontario.

  3. I agree that you need a greenhouse. We chose a very inexpensive DIY Harbor Freight model, added a heat sink, water and electricity, on a stout foundation.

Clicking on my name will take you to the greenhouse inside pictures on my blog. If there's one you'd like to use, please give me credit. The outside is pretty pedestrian: 10 x 12, gable roof.

  4. I add my vote for the greenhouse, think of the possibilities! Sheds are nice, but greenhouses are much better. I will send you a photo soon. 🙂

  5. Good idea–and you know that is a very long process for me to finish my shed. I am trying but me and MrD are very slow. It will be cool when it's finished and I'll send you the info. By then, you will have already built ten of them.
